UNDERSTANDING THE PROJECT (STEP BY STEP)
Three Topic Brainstorm: 30 Points
The project begins with a brainstorm of three topics of interest to the student.
The first step is completed when the student completed three topic idea forms.
This activity is then followed up by a meeting with the teacher to chose the best tops for further research and discussion. (30 points)

Second, download the MLA template and type the introduction paragraph into the correct place.

Introduction Paragraph: 20 Points
Third, the student should construct the introduction paragraph. (20 Points)
Index Cards: 50 Points
Fourth using as guides: MLA Monster Tool #1: Referencing Websites, MLA Monster Tool #2: Citations in Paragraphs, MLA Bibliography Cards How To, and MLA Bibliography Cards Example, the student should complete 10 index cards according to guidelines.
Fifth, the index cards are evaluated and approved by the teacher and the student continues to the next step by typing in the references and citations into their Microsoft document.
Reference and Citation Pages: 40 Points
Next develop both the reference page (20 points) and citation page (20 points)in the MLA Template.
Final Persuasive Research Essay: 60 Points
Develop the essay through research citations and your own words.
Minimum 5 paragraphs.
